Dag Olaf Aastebøl
Dag Olaf Aastebøl is the founder and general manager of TRÅD and has worked as a consulting engineer since its inception in 2019.
He has more than 30 years of experience within all our fields of profession.
Dag Olaf has experience from the public sector as a purchaser, and from the private sector as a supplier. He also has experience as a technical manager at several cultural venues and as a sound engineer with national and international artists, stage- and tour manager. In the private sector, he has worked as solution arctitect and programming / installation of complex AV systems, recording sound and visuals for TV and streaming as well as commissioning sound, light, stage and AV technical solutions.
Dag Olaf has an education as a multi media engineer from the University of Stavanger, specializing in music production and recording technology.
Jørund Østbø-Bjåstad
Jørund Østbø-Bjåstad has strengthened the TRÅD team as an advisory consultant since the beginning of 2023. He brings over 25 years of technical experience from the cultural industry and covers all our areas of expertise.
Jørund has worked for many years as a project manager and sales consultant for sound, lighting, AV, and stage technology solutions for several of Norway’s largest festivals, as well as tour productions and major local events in Rogaland. He has developed solution specifications in collaboration with clients, coordinated staffing and equipment resources, prepared plans and technical drawings for technicians, and managed changes and deviations during project execution.
Jørund holds a bachelor’s degree in Administration and Management, specializing in Business Economics, Statistics, Methodology, and Leadership.
Kai Vidar Bech
Kai Vidar Bech strengthens the team at TRÅD as a consulting advisor. He brings over 25 years of experience from the entertainment industry and primarily specializes in stage mechanics, including relevant laws and regulations.
Kai Vidar Bech joins us from his previous position as “Technical Specialist, Rigging and Stage Technology” and has specialized in stage automation, stage machinery, and rigging. Kai strengthens our team with exceptional expertise in standards, regulations, and legislation, as well as an extensive international network. With 25 years of experience from the user side, combined with a deep understanding of regulations and technical standards, he is well-equipped to advance our efforts in the theater an consert house sector.
