At Tråd, we frequently assist clients with applications to Kulturrom, previously known as Musikkutstyrsordningen. Kulturrom offers funding schemes for purchasing musical and performance equipment, as well as improving rehearsal and performance spaces. These improvements may include building a stage or implementing acoustic upgrades to better suit the intended use.
Through this unique scheme, it is possible to receive support for purchasing sound, lighting and stage equipment that provides solid technical conditions for music, dance and theatre performances. Application deadlines are twice a year: 1 March and 1 September.
This time, we assisted Nærbø Musikkorps with the funding application process, solution design for the sound and lighting system, and running the procurement process. The installation is now complete and ready for the autumn’s performances. The music ensemble regularly hosts its own concerts and productions and also rents out Jadarheim when they are not using it themselves.
The solution was based on compact point-source loudspeakers with a processor-controlled amplifier, a central audio processor with a simplified control panel at the stage, a new digital mixer with mobile stage boxes, and modern LED fixtures for front lighting.
Acoustic curtains were installed on a track system and adapted to the existing slatted wall.
We thank you for the trust and congratulate you on a great installation!
