Professional assessment of existing systems for safe and efficient continued operation
Technical systems for sound, lighting, video and stage mechanics often have long lifespans, but require follow-up to maintain function and safety. We perform condition assessments that document current status, identify needs for maintenance or replacement, and provide a foundation for planning future investments.

Our role
As an independent consultant, we conduct objective evaluations of technical installations, with no ties to suppliers or manufacturers. The result is a clear and practical report that supports both technical and financial decision-making for upgrades.
Typical deliverables
- Survey of technical systems and documentation
- Functional testing and performance evaluation
- Inspection of operational and safety conditions
- Summary of deviations, wear and non-compliance
- Recommendations for upgrades, replacement or continued use
- Cost estimates and prioritisation of actions
Areas we assess
- Sound systems: condition of loudspeakers, amplifiers, microphones, mixers, distribution systems and related equipment
- Lighting systems: fixtures, distribution systems, control systems, dimming and power supply
- Video / AV: display equipment, signal distribution and control systems
- Stage mechanics: lifting, rigging, control and documentation in accordance with current standards
Report and recommendations
After the assessment, a written report is delivered that includes:
- Description of existing systems and structure
- Photo documentation of actual conditions
- Evaluation of technical status, safety and severity
- Overview of required short- and long-term measures
- Recommendations for upgrades or replacements
- Suggested next steps for design or further investigation
The report can form the basis for budgeting, investment decisions, tender documentation or further consulting in the project phase.
When condition assessment is relevant
- Before planning renovation or upgrades
- During handover or change of ownership
- As part of internal control or HSE follow-up
- When documentation of safety level is required
- To identify the condition of fixed and portable equipment
A thorough and independent condition assessment provides confidence for owners, users and operations staff. Through experience, system knowledge and standards-based evaluation, we ensure that future investments are made on a documented and sound basis.
